KINCAID – State Senator Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill) and Representative Sue Scherer (D-Decatur) have scheduled office hours in Kincaid to help families affected by the recent flooding in Christian County.
The office hours will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Kincaid City Hall, 115 Central Ave.
In addition to Manar, Scherer and their respective staffs, representatives from the Illinois Department of Insurance, Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Attorney General’s Office will be on hand to help answer questions and assist residents.
“This flooding has destroyed property and completely disrupted people’s lives. We want to make sure everyone receives the proper assistance as they continue to put their lives back together,” Manar said
“Many residents I’ve spoken with are understandably feeling overwhelmed right now, and I want to make sure they can get their questions about insurance answered easily. By bringing in representatives from the Departments of Insurance and Natural Resources, we hope to take that burden off people’s minds so that they can focus on rebuilding and recovery after such terrible flooding and devastation,” Scherer said.
Residents interested in attending should call Manar’s office at 217-782-0228 to schedule an appointment.
