WILSONVILLE – The Village of Wilsonville will soon have new additions to the local park thanks to an AT&T community award given to the Wilsonville Community Outreach program on Tuesday. Village officials joined members of the Wilsonville Community Outreach program, Macoupin County officials and State Senator Andy Manar (D–Bunker Hill) to receive a $1,500 grant from AT&T for playground equipment. Manar’s office contacted AT&T to nominate the Wilsonville Community Outreach program for the grant.
“This was an all-hands-on-deck approach with local officials working with my office to secure the grant,” Manar said. “There are many state and private funds available for community-based projects, so I encourage any local official or community organization to reach out to my office if we can provide any assistance in helping to secure a grant.”
The Village of Wilsonville matched the AT&T grant, and several individuals have made private contributions.
