SPRINGFIELD – Governor Bruce Rauner took office after a swearing-in ceremony Monday as outgoing Governor Pat Quinn left office.

“I look forward to working with Governor Rauner and his administration. This will be an interesting, exciting time at the Capitol that will yield a new wave of bipartisanship,” State Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill) said.

“Governor Quinn has been a dedicated public servant and I wish him the best,” Manar said.

Manar and other recently elected members of the General Assembly will be sworn in on Wednesday.
